Hi everybody!

Tell me please, is it possible to discuss some refusal reasons on the Liferay Marketplace?
For example, i have an application, and it was denied by Liferay Marketplace Team, and one of the features of my app was specified as a bug.
Of course, i've fixed that "bug"(we can read here - i've removed the feature described), but i'm not agree and want to discuss it.
Is it possible? And if yes, what should be the form of such discussion?

Thanks in advance!

Hey Pavel,

Yes, this is the right place to discuss emoticon Can you describe the feature that was marked as a "bug"? I can follow up with the QA team to find out whether or not it actually worked as advertised.

Hi James,

thanks for your answer.
I've created a portlet - Language Learning which allows to learn foreign languages in some multilingual/multinational communities. There are two modes in the portlet - Translation and Learning. In the Translation mode users can add or edit words and translations in any language to help each other. And in the Learning mode users can learn specified words quantity every day. I think that such app will be interesting for on-line communities, to help their members to learn each other national language.

The feature of my app that was mentioned as a bug:

- In Learning Mode words without translations are displayed.

I'm sure that it's necessary to show words without translations even in the "Learning" mode because this is not a personal app, but for the community.
For example, i know the translation of some word, and other member - doesn't. In the learning mode i can help the others, provide the translation.
And if that word is not useful for me personally, i can just skip it with corresponding buttons or increase "Words per day" property to get more words every day.

update: of course, words without translations are displayed in the Learning mode with comment like "Translation for this word doesn't exists yet, you can add it" with link to the translation form on 'add' part. It looks userfriendly emoticon

Ok, I have included this information and will pass it to the Marketplace QA team. Thanks for the explanation!

Note: in the future, we are going to add the ability for you to attach "reviewer's notes" to each app for exactly this purpose: to explain things that might not otherwise be obvious, so our QA team can know these things ahead of time.
