The SAML 2.0 Single Sign-On Adapter allows your Liferay server to act as a SAML Identity (IDP) or Service (SP) Provider or both. The SSO adapter is a lightweight Liferay hook that connects Liferay server to the AssureBridge SSO Hub. This provides advanced SAML capabilities including:
- Connect a single Liferay Service Provider to multiple SAML 2.0 Identity Providers
- Allow a single Liferay Server to act as a Service Provider and an Identity Provider simultaneously
- Allows a single Liferay Server to mix SAML SSO with the native Liferay Login
- Allows for user auto-provisioning
- Provides flexible and extensible mechanisms to trigger Single Sign-On
- Each SAML partner connection is fully isolated from the rest and uses its own dedicated partner metadata.
- Supported for both Community (CE) and Enterprise (EE/DXP) Editions
