  • Now when you open a new workspace for the first time it will check to see if you have already previously configured Liferay SDKs, Runtimes or Servers
  • If you have a popup notification will open to allow you to import them automatically

  • When creating a advanced portlet archetype such as Vaadin or JSF you can specify an alternative portlet archetype by specifying the GAV

  • Also you can customize any archetype GAV that is used by the new Liferay Plugin Project wizard when using maven as the build type.

  • If you specify your database connection settings in portal-ext.properties then if you right-click the server you can choose the "create database profile" action and it will automatically create a Database connection profile so you make a connection to the Liferay database from Eclipse.

  • Global hotkeys have been added for Build Services, WSDD, and Languages actions

  • For a deployed project to a server you can right-click the project and open the deployed folder in the system explorer (Explorer for windows, Finder for mac, and Nautilus for linux
