ONLYOFFICE Connector for Liferay

ONLYOFFICE Connector for Liferay allows users to edit and co-author Office documents inside Liferay using ONLYOFFICE Docs.

1. Features
Currently, the following document formats can be opened and edited with this plugin: DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, DOCXF, OFORM. The following formats are available for view only: ODT, ODS, ODP, DOC, XLS, PPT.

The plugin will create a new ’ONLYOFFICE Edit/View’ menu option within the ’Documents and Media’ section for Office documents.

This allows multiple users to collaborate on docs in real time and save the changes back to Liferay.

Configuration page in the System Settings > Connectors section allows managing server addresses and JWT Secret that protects documents from unauthorized access.

2. Installing ONLYOFFICE Docs
ONLYOFFICE Connector for Liferay requires an instance of ONLYOFFICE Docs that is resolvable and connectable both from Liferay and any end clients. If that is not the case, use the official documentation page: https://helpcenter.onlyoffice.com/installation/docs-community-install-ubuntu.aspx. ONLYOFFICE Docs installation must also be able to POST to Liferay directly.
