Where is Feature X?#
If you are looking for a particular feature it is best to begin with the feature matrix for the current version. If the feature cannot be found the next location to check is on the Portal Road Map. If you cannot find any mention of the feature you are seeking check the JIRA repository. Start by searching the respository for the feature you need. If at last you are unable to find the feature create and file a ticket describing it and your motivations for it. Once the ticket is in place you have several options:
- You can wait for it to be developed: If you have entered a ticket for a new feature and intend to wait for its development then you must realize it will fall into a prioratization mechanism. You can build priority for the feature by building community support for the feature and gathering Votes (votes in JIRA) or by purchasing development time from Liferay or a Service Integrator.

- You can develop and contribute the feature: If you plan to develop the feature we applaud and appreciate your contribution. We strongly advise you to involve the community in your development, you may find you do not have to do all of the development yourself.

Feature X Doesn't Work Properly#
If you have found an issue with an existing feature please report the error in | JIRA. Before filing please search the database to ensure that the problem is unique and has not already been reported. Duplicate reports create overhead and slow delivery of patches.
