full-height portlet?

Hi,
Is it possible to develop a full-height portlet, which can fill the screen height without a vertical scrollbar.
I am thinking of it might be necessary to use the window.onresize event to obtain the size of the window dynamically, thus the height of porlet div could be updated accordingly. Is this way workable?
And I am wondering if there is any ready-made method(api) to implement it ?

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Um, no, this is a simple task using CSS, no javascript or resize event watching.
