where do Marketplace downloads get stored prior to be installed?
We need to package a collection of portlets as part of a product release and most portlets need some changes that cannot be done by plugins as they are not part of the core. I Assume that marketplace purchases/installations are somehow recorded in the local database of the site they are installed on so we need to make these changes (eg to liferay-display.xml) prior to installation.

The apps get stored in your document library directory but they're as cryptic to find as other documents that get stored there.

I would suggest grabbing the LPKG from our website and making your modifications.

Once you're logged in, click on "Go to My Home" on the top of the page and then on the side bar hit "App Manager". You'll see a list of your purchased Apps. Once you download them, you can simply unzip an LPKG and you'll find all the WARs there. This LPKG is the same file you'd find in the document library folder.
