Portal Switch: Start a new project with ICEfaces or ... ?

Hi all,

we want to switch from the deprecated GridSphere Portal Framework to Liferay, so we have to do some larger changes to our portlets. Now I evaluate ICEfaces as UI-Framework.

Is ICEfaces a good approach (for JSF-beginners) to build portlets or causes it more difficulties in addition to Liferay (so the implemented Struts is the better way)? How are your experiences? Any good advices for me?

Richfaces and Liferay also work very fine, have a look there: www.exadel.com/web/portal/download/liferaydemo
and http://liferay.exadel.com/web/guest/home .
I would prefer richfaces than icefaces!
