Open office Integration in Liferay

Hi all,

can anybody know how to integrate open office in liferay ?


I want to integrate open office in my portlet. I have downloaded open office. But I am not find the steps to how to integrate in liferay.

if anyone knows, please suggest me...

If I understand your needs.. You need to embed open office as editor.. similar to embedding pdf reader with in the browser..

Not sure such thing is possible.. Other forum members can comment.. if such office portlet integration is possible..

What is possible is how to connect to openoffice server from portlet and do document conversion etc..is one kind of integration..

JodConverter is used to create open office documents and convert one format in to another.

I have downloaded this . But how can I integrate in to container.

Thanks for your reply.

I have followed your links. But my requirement is create open office document and edit the document and save.

JodConverter is used to convert the document from one format to another. Suppose it is .docx file convert this into .pdf is possible.


I want to create the open office document. And save the document.




Could you please help me...
