New home for translation is coming

Hello everybody,

Globalization is a very important topic to us. Today we have Liferay Portal translated to 45 languages and that's because of your help!

As we prepare for future releases, we're evaluating new ways for you to contribute translations. Pootle, the tool we currently use to facilitate that process, has helped us a lot but we believe we found something even better.

That's why we would like to ask you to pause contributions on Pootle for now. We'll announce a new translation tool in the next weeks.

Hi Zeno,

good to hear from you and happy to hear this news! I believe that good translation has an important impact on user experience.

I hope the new system can reintroduce translation by module.
IMHO, it has many advantages like grouping translations for context and allowing approver manage/delegate the translation process easily.

Liferay 7.1 is going to beta (ref. Liferay Community Beta program).
Can you give us any update about translations? How do we handle translations for Liferay 7.1?
