How to upgrade Liferay 6.2 Ant project to Liferay 7 Maven project

• I am using Eclipse IDE , Tomcat server 8 and Liferay 7

I need to Upgrade an ant project created using liferay 6.2 to Liferay 7, Please give me some light on this like what are all the possibility in converting a 6.2 project to 7 (also from an ant project to maven project or gradle project) and what could be the effort in doing that.

should I start from scrach instead of upgrading.

Is there any books available on Liferay tutorial
