Default onselect on Horizontal Drop Down child menu ?

Hi All,

I have created a second level navigation and instead of vertical drop down I have made it to appear as horizontal.
Now my question is, if I click on the main navigation menu th first page of the horizontal child menu should be selected automatically.


Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

It would be helpful if you can let me know how you achieved horizontal menu? Are you using custom theme? All themes i am aware of either don't have drop-down of just have vertical drop-down

Hi Vishal,

You can achiev the horizontal drop down by editing the css, such as keeping the display of the child menu as block.

Thanks dinesh. I am new to Liferay customization and would definitely like to learn how to create new themes, particularly because the most community available themes dont have drop-down menus. Can you help me with this respect by recommending best approach, tool and some reference material please.

As of I know , the forum is the best place where you will get every thing regarding theme and development.
There is no special tool , but yo u can use eclipse plugin for the development.
