Solr 4 Liferay 6.2 integration issues

Hi,

I integrated solr 4 liferay 6.2. It is working or webcontent search perfectly. But the problem is, It is not searching "document and media" content.

while i was adding one document to documents and media, I observed that it is indexing "entryClassName as com.liferay.portlet.messageboards.model.MBThread" in logs. I am just mentioning that it might help you understanding the issue (It may not be the issue also). Ultimately I need solr to be working for documents. Can anybody pls help me in this regard.

Um, no, MBThread is a message board thread, it has nothing to do w/ D&M.

Do you have the external tools enabled such as OpenOffice? Liferay cannot peer into some document types and cannot extract content for indexing. PDFs are mostly supported using pdfbox, but I still recommend enabling all of the external tools to get full PDF support.

Not enabled any OpenOffice stuff. I just uploaded .txt file . Forget about full text, it is not searching even by title or description of the document. Is OpenOffice required for searching by title or description?

No, those are not necessary for text files or title or description.

Are these message board post attachments or straight upload into D&M?
