We want to take decision on Liferay 7 hardware setup. Liferay recommendation is below (as per documentation)
Liferay recommends to provide max optimal performance with a sigle server with bekow configurations
-- 2 x Intel Core 2 Quad X5677 3.46GHz CPU, 12MB L2 cache (8 cores and 16 threads)
-- Upto 64GB memory, 2 x 146GB 10k RPM SCSI
By considering below statistics
-- 1,000,000 total users
-- 2,000,000 documents with an average of 100KB per document
-- 10,000 sites with 50% of the sites having at least 5 children
-- 4,000,000 message forum threads and posts
-- 100,000 blog entries and 1,000,000 comments
-- 100,000 wiki pages
But we have below criteria
-- 1000 Users
-- 300 Sites
-- 2000 Documents (Avg doc Size 5MB ), will be added 5 to 10 docs every day
-- 10000 Wiki Pages
-- 10000 blogs (will be added 5 to 10 blogs every day)
With my above criteria we have estimated below hardware configuration
-- 2 x Intel Core 2 Quad X5677 3.46GHz CPU, 12MB L2 cache (4 CPU/cores)
-- 8GB memory (6GB Heap), 40GB SCSI(using AWS s3 as docLib repo)
Please advise any thoughts or feedback.
