replace default favicon.ico with new favicon

Hi,

i am using liferay 6.2 ga2 i want replace favicon.ico in my custom theme i followed the below link both methods i tried but none of them is working

can anybody please provide solution for this would be great help. thanks in advance.

Did you restart your liferay server? Because portal-ext.properties changing, just update after you restart your server.

i have restarted the server after portal-ext.properties changes but new favicon is not refelecting.

Did you replace the image in theme file ?

If you did means, clear the browser cache and check (or) check in other browser.
