Notifications portlet gone...

I'm getting an error in my Dockbar saying that the Notifications Portlet has been undeployed...

First of all, I have done nothing of the sort.

Secondly I've a Dockbar hook in place which was working fine. It's now giving that error.

However if I undeploy that hook I get an error telling me that it's looking for a file that now no longer exists as I've removed the hook. I assumed that removing the hook would stop this occuring.

I have cleared the temp folder and restarted... nothing happened.

Has anyone got an idea what is going on here?

I'm in massive bind as time is short (I've spent all morning trying to work out what the heck is wrong), and I should be working on another critical part of the system which I now can't test because of this issue.

Remove the broken notifications folder from webapps and expand a clean one it it's place. This should resolve the referenced file no longer existing.

It's now seems to be undeploying portlets I'm working on.

Is this a symptom of a bigger, but known issue?

Not sure. What version of Liferay are you using?

Everything just seems to have fallen apart for an unknown reason today.

It's a bit stressful here as I've a tight deadline, and am pretty sick today.

It's only the dev system that is falling apart.

Is it a workable solution to copy our prod system over the dev system?
