I've brought this topic up last year but it seems it wasn't quite clear.
Liferay.com site now has made Japanese available. That's nice, but it's now showing amateurish translations which is turning off users from selecting Liferay.
As you can see from the screen shot below, "My Subscriptions" is translated to some very long sentence which is forcing the "Post New Thread" to wrap many times.
The rule of the thumb is to translate messages to be about the same length.
Finally, after translating, it's important to check how the translation actually appears on screen. Unfortunately, this has not been done in this case.
I hope Liferay would do something about this because a bad translation is really worse than no translation. People aren't going to use this when a screen looks like this.
