We're quickly approaching the fall symposium season, and as always you're invited to participate and give a talk. Do you have something interesting to share with the community related to Liferay and surrounding technology? Submit a proposal for a talk! It's a great way to get your message out to a concentrated set of Liferay enthusiasts in our community, and the events in general are a lot of fun. So what are you waiting for? We have the following open calls:

- North America Symposium in Chicago November 16-17. Call for papers closes on August 21 (1 week!).
- Spain Symposium in Madrid October 21-22. Call for papers closes September 15!

It takes about 10 days to herd the necessary cats to do the review, so probably on or around August 28 (or possibly the following Monday).

Hey James and David, Great meetups ahead. What about Devcon 2015 in Germany? Had a short talk last year, this year it's all about reunions and Liferay 7… the Portal in progress... heard Meera Prince was comming to join the fun here in Europe

The Call for Papers for Devcon already ended. But I'm looking forward to meet again.
Hint: If you want to come to the unconference as well: make sure to register in time. The Unconference will sell out soon. We have enough room on the two main DevCon days for everybody, but only limited room for the Unconference.
