Open contract position
LifeRay social web portal architect/administrator
- Contract duration: 6 months
- Department: Wells Fargo Wholesale Internet/Intranet Services
- Manager: Intranet Social Web manager / Darius.Miranda@wellsfargo.com
- Location: San Francisco CA
Overall responsibility
Support and maintenance of LifeRay enterprise portal; Set up and maintenance of Communities
Key areas of responsibility
A. Architecture
- Providing a scalable architectural solution and governance model for public and private communities spanning dozens of business lines and an internal user base of 10K+ and growing
- Outlining decision methodology for approaching and solving business requirements
B. Administration
- End-to-end planning, administration, configuration and maintenance of LifeRay portal;
- Setting up new communities and managing user roles
- Implementing LifeRay best practices; Documenting best practices
C. Support
- Monthly release/deployment support
- Ad hoc user support
D. Light development
- Basic front- and back-end development to correct defects
- Minor UI enhancements
E. Reports
- Set up and maintain weekly and monthly metrics
- Produce ad hoc reports
Qualifications
- Degree in information science, business administration or other applicable degree
- Certified LifeRay portal administrator, or 3-5 years of relevant business experience with LifeRay portals, product configuration and administration—including portlet configuration, search and personalization options.
- Ability or knowledge to create custom forms and implement or integrate Tag Clouds, Social Bookmarks, Microblogging and User Profiles with LifeRay
- Working knowledge of java portlets, struts, MCV, Javascript, jQuery and document collaboration plug-ins
- Knowledge of Jboss, TomCat, Oracle and implementation of custom configuration
- Knowledge of project life cycle for web applications using various methodologies such as iterations and agile/SCRUM
- Knowledge and proficiency in infrastructure architecture, design, development and/or implementation techniques
- Strong organizational, communication and technical writing skills
Additional/Desired skills
- Experience with WordPress or Moveable Type blog platform administration
- Experience customizing widgets or building new widgets
- Microsoft SharePoint integration
- Data and visual mash-ups
