usage of jasper in liferay

Hi all,
I am a newbie at jasper usage in liferay. i hav jasperreports jar file with me and it is working property out side of liferay.
But i don't know how to make it useful in liferay.


If anybody knows the answer rep me immediately, as I am seriously stuck at it from weeks.

What's your requirement?
Basicly the report should be generated by some condition.
The End user can download it from a portlet.

HI Gavin,
I just want to use jasper reports since i have to generate a no.of reports which my portlet gives. i want to give it as a report directly to outside of system instead of giving it in portlet.

Hi All,

I am new to Liferay and want to integrate LIFERAY and JASPER.

I have generated basic report and it gives me PDF and I can save it at specified location but ....


1) How to consume that report in My custom LIFERAY PORTLET ?

2) How to show that report in LIFERAY'S Portlet Page..?

Please Guide me.
