Set Up Liferay with Tomcat

hello fellows,

I am suffering for more than one month just to set up liferay! Please help me! I am desparate!
I have followed the step by step manuals to set up liferay on tomcat, but when i try to build it, i get a out of memory exception.
I have tried to set the JVM settings in Tomcat and even in build.$(username).properties. my ram is a max of 1 GB.
Is it the main reason why I am getting this error? Please help me!

Hi,
Finally I have managed to build the main portal.
When it comes to deploying ext environment I get an exception related to Reports and missing reference for some package com.liferay....
sth concerning struts.
I tried to remove the example portlet Reports, but now i get:
C:\TomLiferay\workspace\ext\ext-web\build-parent.xml:384: C:\TomLiferay\workspace\ext\modules\portal-web.war not found.

Can somebody help me?
