Import lar file

Hi all,

I have exported lar for community xyz in one server when I try to import lar into xyz community of another server it gets failed.
However If I unchecked data check box it is executed.

So I want to know what will be the missing part if I will not select data checkbox.

What is the error you get? Maybe is a database time out, its a common error in lar imports

following occurred while we do import by checking data option.

Encountered possible StartTag at (r1,c604,p603) whose content does not match a registered StartTagType

Hi Jignesh,
To make a successful import you shuold uncheck the theme related check boxes and then check that both the two servers should run the same liferay versions and licenses.

Hi Rahul,

both server working on same version and licenses.
I don't think it's related to theme.to get into more specific if I have unchecked article under data.it's working fine.but half of the content are missing.
is it a problem of data inconsistency or what?

Jignesh(JIGAA), I strongly believe it is related to mapping of layout entries only in DB.If you have not checked it.

So checking says something in simple manner of importing layouts(pages) and its properties/attributes.

May be here you have to cross check the mapping.As you said content are missing so it purely mapping of those contents are there in half0way maybe.

things is that DB is not in our hand.
but I believe dumping of DB den importing lar might cause this issue.what's say?

Yes, tat's right may be.....b'coz tat's related to content import checking.There itself a clue i believe.
