Assign Images to Events
Hi,
I'm using Liferay 6.1 GA1, and I want to be able to assign Image Gallery with Events.
How can I do it?
So I want to create a new Event, suppose a Party. And after the party I want to upload images, which belongs to this event.
Thank you,
Best Regards,
Gyozo

Hi Kolcza,
create a new document type (Control panel - Documents and Media) e.g. named "Party".
Define some custom fields like "Location", "Motto" and so on.
Then you can "Add - Add Multiple Documents", select your photos and after the upload
select your document type "Party", enter the extra informations and save.

I guess you would create a folder in the documents and media portlet and upload all the photo's in there and then just add a link to that folder in the description of the event..
No need to make it any more complicated than that i guess.
It would seem that this would be a good usecase for the "related assets" functionality but folders are not assets so you cannot use it for this. you can however point to a bookmark that points to the documents portlet.. but in the end i think just changing the description would be easier
