RE: Portletfaces + Primefaces

I use the Portletfaces bridge to develop JSF 2.0 Portlets in combination with primefaces components. However I miss an new Information about Portletfaces/Alloy Faces and Liferay Faces... Is their any new development to these projects. Are their any expriences with Primefaces with Portletfaces? Or even other Components libraries? It would be a dream if their will be liferay specific JSF 2 components like Alloy und Liferay-ui.... Is their any platform to share composite components etc?

The alloy and liferay tag libraries are JSP-only and are not compatible w/ JSF. There are some JSF-compatible components at portletfaces.org, so you should probably be asking your questions on their forum...

Anyone have any experience running any ****faces on a LR server as far as system usage? I know it will depend on how complicated it is, but I was hearing 200mb of RAM per user for an average ice faces portlet... which sounds ridiculous

I don't have specific metrics, but one thing worth mentioning is that Liferay Faces Bridge contains a fix for a memory leak:

We are going to try to test with jmeter and see what happens. If the memory footprint is ~200mb per user or something, it makes using any ####faces stuff impractical unless someone has loads of $$$ for a system
