Staging:Page keeps stated "ready for publication" on acticle update

Hi Folks,
i am using Liferay 6.1 and activated local staging inlcudin page versioning.
The single approver workflow mechanism is activated for "Page Revision" only, as the reviewing mechaninsm shall be on page level only.

Use Case:
Users with a writer role shall be able to setup the whole page including portlets and web contents. Writers shall be able to send the revision request to a content reviewer after the page is setup completely

Problem:
An approved page keeps stated "ready for publication" when a newer article version is loaded into a portlet automatically.
The page state is not falling back to "draft" state.

Reproduce::
try following:

- activate staging locally
- set "single approver workflow" for page revision only.
- submit a page for publication
- approve page,
- page is stated : ready for publication

- edit an existing web content which is currently displayed in a web display portlet
- the web display portlet loads latest (approved) version of the content

- page Keeps stated : ready for publication


Conclustion and Result:
Page revision seems to be obsolete once one page is approved.
A change of web content can be published to LIVE without re-approval,re-viewing the whole page.

How can I force a page falling back to draft status, when an newer article version is loaded into a portlet?

Any Ideas are more than welcome.

Hello,

i have a problem within the same scenario, which is that i am not even able to accomplish the following step

- submit a page for publication

In other words when i open the panel for Creating/Adding a page then i can see nothing else than the button "Add a page"

May i ask which role you used (a default Liferay role?) , and which functions you assigned to this "writer" role ?
