iframe speed

Any ideas on how to speed up iframe loading?

We are authenticating to a 3rd party site / system we manage. They are at different data centers (one private cloud, one AWS).

When loading 3rd party site, server response is about .25 sec to load auth page, and about .5 to auth and load follow up page.

Inside iframe in LR it takes more then 8.5 seconds to do this same thing from when LR page is clicked to displaying 3rd party site info.


Any thoughts would be great, we cannot move LR to same data center however at this time.

Never focused on this but, Just please check what is the time of loading of liferay page without this iframe.. if thats too much then probably try placing iframe on a page with no portlets at all.

Almost all of my pages with frames have no other port lets... just the iframe.

I am going to test a networking design and place servers on same AWS region and data center to see if that helps.

So far it has helped lots..

Place on same region, make sure to use IPs instead of DNS.. if possible use LAN IPs on AWS instead of public (only works in same region of course)... etc etc

Have not tested actual load times yet, but it is considerably faster.
