Community with Organization

Hi All,

Please let me know how to integrate Community with Organizations??

My scenario is, i wanna create many organizations of one type under one community, and same for many more.
Suggest.....

Hi,

As I know there is no way you can create organization under 1 community.

But you can assign many organization to one community.

thats fine as you said i can assign organizations to community, but there is any benefit after assigning organizations to a community????

If yes, please tell, in which way i can get the benefi

Hi Puneet,

Benefit is that if you assign organization to a communty,that organization will become member of that community.

So all the members of organization will become member of that community. Then they will have all the rights that community member should have.

is there any provision in liferay, through which i can make different-2 organization hierarchy of different types.
I mean if i want to make a weather departments organization hierarchy, same as for traffic department.
can it be achieved in organization or in community????

Hi Puneet,

Hierarchical structure can be achieved using organization.

You can create one structure for weather department and another for police department.

Ok. Thats fine,

but here i cannot give the administrator role for a specific organization because the administrator role is on portal level
and i am creating the org hierarchy at organization level.

There is role called "Organization Admin" ,which is only organization admin not the Portal Admin
