What is the producer's url that you are using? Can you post the stacktrace? What version of Liferay are you working with?

I have the latest bundle 6.0 with Tomcat CE from http://www.liferay.com/downloads/liferay-portal/available-releases
Don't get any stack trace.

My steps are:
1. Add producer
2. Select Hello world and pull that from Available to Current area
3. Save
4. When I click edit on the producer again I see this URL http://localhost:8080/wsrp-portlet/wsdl/12609

1. Add consumer
2. I just enter a name and the URL from the above step
3. Save

Get this error in red.

You have entered invalid data. Please try again.

URL does not point to a valid WSRP producer.



Need to get this working soon so any help will be great!

I just test the exactly steps that you described in a Liferay-Tomcat 6.0.6 (latest) and it is working fine. I also added the remote portlet to a page without problem.

But does the process require changing any other system information, any properties file or setting up the proxies correctly? I'm behind a firewall.

I will try it with a clean install and see how I go.

The process does not require any other configuration. Maybe the firewall is the problem, try to get rid of it.
