Style the control panel

I have developed a theme which works well. I wanted to see about applying custom css to the control panel.

I am using liferay 6.0.6.

I haven't tried it myself but supposedly you can create your own theme for the control panel, just like you create any other theme. Then you reference it in portal.properties under the control.panel.layout.regular.theme.id key

You can also put your theme in a hook, under the folder: docroot/html/themes/control_panel (something like that. I haven't the source code right now).
But if you find a better way, I'll be glad to know it .

Deploying a hook only makes it available. You'll still have to set the control.panel.layout.regular.theme.id
to specify which theme to use in the Control Panel.

i think he means that you can override the built in control panel theme with a jsp hook. since it is also included in the ROOT war. That's true and would be another option here

Oh. That you've mentioned it, that's true. I've never thought about hardcoding a properties value into a code.
