Liferay Control Panel has Organization Management function and I assuem it is a portlet.
Is it possible to embed this portlet into a normal web page just we can embed wiki/blog/etc portlet into a normal web page?

Yes, it is possible by following 2 changes
1. In liferay-display.xml, move portlet id 126 from category.hidden to category.community.
2. In resource-actions/portlet.xml, add <action-key>ADD_TO_PAGE</action-key> potlet # 126.
After that, you will get organization portlet under add applications.

I'm thinking you're going to have to download the source code of Liferay, make the modification, and build it yourself to find the resource actions.

HI,
You need to overwrite in resource-actions/portal.xml. You can get that file from Portal-src.
You can overwrite it using plugin-ext environment.

Dhrutika

Hi friends,
Currently we have to create ext to add a OOB liferay portlet on the portal page.
Its a common feature in many liferay portal requirements and so we should be able to achieve this by minimum efforts by some configurations only.
I have created one request for this feature to Liferay.
Please vote for this if you like it.
