Liferay Remote IDE Connector for liferay 7?

Hi all,

I've been trying to find what happened to the remote ide connector and whether or not a version for liferay 7 is planned, but can't seem to find any info on it.
Since the last version in the marketplace is from 2014 I would guess it's been abandoned.
Can anyone shed some more light on this?

Hey Simon,

We are not plan to support Remote Server Adapter for Liferay 7 in IDE side.
If u want to find another workaround for your using case, u can open anther thread in portal development part.

Hope your problem can be resolved soon.

Joye,I too am new to Liferay IDE and am confused as to your statement about not intending to produce a Remote Server Connector for Liferay 7.x. Is this still the case (as the previous post is from 2014) and if so, can you explain why?
