editing css from classic theme dont work

hi

i create a theme project with liferay theme generator.and i run "gulp kickstart" for turn my theme project into liferay classic theme project.
so i try to edit the css with the file ../src/css/_custom.scss.i am able to compile and deploy it on liferay and liferay install it without error.
but when i choose my editet theme on configuraton ->instance settings->Miscellaneous then it get set without error but the css seems not to work.everything is still the same.

so am i doing int wrong ? or is there a problem with my liferay?should i reinstall ?
