Liferay 5.2.3 SE document library folder permissions issue

Hi All,

We are using Liferay 5.2.3 SE. Our document library portlet doesn't cascade parents folder's permissions to the files under it. Is there any fix available for this? or I'll have to upgrade our liferay to 6.0 or something.

I have searched the forum but I couldn't find any saisfactory answer. If someone can point me to some old post which can answer my question that'll help too.

What are exactly the permissions you apply?

I have created few usergroups, I want only users belonging to those usergroups can read the files.
