What is mvccVersion in liferay 7?

Just curious to know what is mvccVersion in liferay 7. I saw this column in the user_ table. I want to know what is it or what is its role. Thanx in advance..

The impression to understand the database will sooner or later lead to you having the impression that you can write to it. Which you shouldn't, because that does sooner (if you're lucky) or later (if you're unlucky) lead to disaster. Trust me.

But one important thing: never modify database directly, always use Liferay API!!
