After login to Liferay 7, Left pane is expanded automatically.?

Hello

Recently I have started work on liferay 7. I am able to configure and set up liferay 7 successfully.
But
While I am login into Liferay the left pane menu is expanded automatically.

So How can I change this default behavior.?

Which version of 7 are you on? when I log into the portal the left hand menu (drawer) is closed for me by default.

I did my test on GA3. Any chance that you can upgrade to the latest release? There are probably a bunch of fixes you can benefit from by moving up to the latest.

On GA3, It is working fine.

Still, Can I get any help for GA2. if possible.

Hi Mahendra,

As Andrew suggested, I recommend you to upgrade to GA3, it's really easy since you just need to download that version and execute the upgrade tool against your current GA2 database (do a backup first), the upgrade process between both versions is smooth.

Completely agree with Alberto -- if the option is there to upgrade you should. The issue you are having (which is really just a feature I guess, not really a bug) is pretty minor. Without a doubt if you are planning to use the product you will eventually come across something that is an actual bug in the GA2 version that has been fixed in GA3. In fact, GA3 has been out for some time now and I wouldn't be surprised if a GA4 was coming soon.

From my experience you should always try to stay current with the product, especially in the GA1 - GA3 cycles.

If you are REALLY hell bent on sticking with GA2, I would suspect that it's just a css change that is required to get what you need.

7.0 GA1?! You are a glutton for punishment my friend. GA1's from my experience (no offence Liferay folks) are like playing craps at the casino. 7GA1 if memory serves me had a lot of problems -- even bread and butter stuff that has been around and part of everyday workflow when using Liferay for years (thing's like the service locator in web templates).

Honestly man -- if you can upgrade? you should move to 3. If you don't, panels that show when they should hide will be the least of your frustrations.
