liferay's web content pdf are accessible without authentication

Hi,
i m using liferay 6.2 ga2 in web content display portlet i have added pdf files and the links of pdf are accessible even without the authentication . is this a default behaviour ?? if so how to avoid that, i mean even though if a user has pdf links the user must be taken to login page for authentication and then user must be able to access pdf.if anybody can guide for this would be a great help.

Check the permissions of the pdfs; if they are guest viewable, anyone can pull them.

How are you adding the PDF to the web content? If the PDF is in Documents and Media, you can change the permission of the file in the Documents and Media.
