Deploy Portlets and log messages

Hello,

the last view days we reorganized the git maven structure of our project. Now we are done and we try to get the old applications running again. One was liferay ....

Right know 6 of 10 portlets are not able to register anymore. I guess something went wrong while we changed the repository - can happen/doesn't matter.
To fix this issue we tried to find a error message in a log file. It doesn't help because liferay as default DOES NOT SHOW ANY ERROR ON DEPLOY!!!
This point alone is ridiculous and it's getting better and better. To change this we have to extract a jar to a zip file - change a log-definition file - zip it again and change the name back to jar.
Wow .... this is even more ridiculous if i trust stackoverflow .....

Well, can I fix this issue without unpack a jar to change a log4j file?

Which log definition file are you changing?

If it's a portal issue, all you need to do is add a portal-log4j-ext.xml file: https://web.liferay.com/community/wiki/-/wiki/Main/How+to+configure+the+logs+in+Liferay
