How to refresh Alfresco Repository Folders

Hi all,

I have integrated Liferay 6.2 with Alfresco 5.0.

Imagine the specific case: I upload a new document in Alfresco.
I have a custom feature where I get that file uuid from alfresco and then I map it with the corresponding entry in Liferay.
The problem is, for this new files, it seems like Liferay only knows about the existence of them if I navigate into that folder in documents and media portlet.

There's any way to programatically force Liferay to have this behaviour? like automatic folders browsing or something.
