Is it have hierarchical tag/category relation in Liferay5.2

We use liferay5.2 in our project, and there is a needs that we should create a hierarchical tag/category relationship.

As we known, there have Vocabularies/categories/tags in liferay5.2, and we can create a simple hierarchical relationship like Vocabulary-tag / category-tag.

Then, my question is coming, can we create a multi-hierarchical relationship just like vocabulary-category-tag/category-category-tag ?
I know it can be done since liferay6, can we do it in liferay5.2?

I can't remember when the big changes in categories/tags came in. However, I do know that Liferay 5.2 is horribly old, loooooong out of service and certainly insecure by now unless you've maintained it well yourself - e.g. reproducing issues that were found&fixed in later versions and backporting them. If you didn't do this, it's probably more worth your time to upgrade than to retroactively do this now.

Unless it's not your fault when your infrastructure gets 0wned through a 5y old security issue. In that case I'd forward this message to the person who will be blamed of running an insecure system in case there's a leak found in production.

Push for upgrading to a version that still gets updates.

First, Thank you for your reply.

We also use liferay6.2 in new project, but the project using 5.2 is a project developed several years ago.
The needs is coming from customers that they want to create a multi-hierarchical on exsiting tag hierarchy (vocabulary-tag) in this old project. let me think more about data structure around tags.
