Liferay 7 GA1 LDAP add Server button not working
New Member Postagens: 4 Data de Entrada: 05/10/15 Postagens Recentes
I have to test the user management via LDAP and followed the instruction at https://dev.liferay.com/discover/deployment/-/knowledge_base/7-0/ldap.
When I navigate to Control Panel -> Configuration -> Instance Settings -> Authentication -> LDAP
and press the Ldap Server Add button nothing happens.
Is it no possible to configure LDAP in the community edition?

Yes it should be.
If you're accessing your server from a non-localhost location, you should configure:

redirect.url.ips.allowed=127.0.0.1,SERVER_IP

It does not work even if the browser is running on the localhost of the liferay instance.

My mistake, the LDAP page has came up after 20 seconds. I did not recognize the progress bar on the top of the page.
Thank you for your help

I struggled over the next problem. I entered the parameters for the ldap server, user, group, and export, pressed "Test LDAP Connection", "Test LDAP Users" and "Test LDAP Groups". All tests worked.
When I press the "Save" button, the error message "Your request is failed to complete" is shown. The following exception is printed:
The executing user has the role Administrator.

Hi Richard,
do you have directory permissions for your Liferay installation?
Which app server are you using?

And I see it here, too: https://web.liferay.com/community/forums/-/message_boards/message/74258480
Does anyone have a solution/workaround?

I have the same problem with liferay-ce-portal-7.0-ga3. I solved this by setting field "Server Name" after adding LDAP server, it should not be empty.
Hope this will help you.
