Liferay 6.1 vs Liferay 6.2

Hi All,

I need to develop web portal project in liferay with the following main requirement i.e.
1 . Responsive web design to work in different devices
2. Web content management.
3. User Management
4. SSO/Ldap
5. Accessing the external application via a hyperlink in the portlet etc.
6. Calling of web services for the external url running in different server.

Please suggest whether we can go for liferay 6.1 or liferay 6.2 in my project. Also please provide some valid reasons behind that.

One should always go with higher stable version of any software/application/framework/framework.
Saying that, You should go with Liferay 6.2, most stable version.

Moreover, all your requirement can be achieved with Liferay. It has inbuilt support for all your needs#1 to #6.

You could also wait for Liferay 7.0 to get launched and stabilized.

Liferay 7 is already released.

Choosing 6.1 vs 6.2 is not as simple as "go with the latest". That is true for bugs, but if your requirement was to use BS3, well that is not possible in 6.2 but has been done for 6.1.

#5 is not really very clear, what kind of application is it? A desktop app, another web app, ?

#6 is possible but may require custom development depending upon what you're doing with it.
