Force login for guest user before viewing any page

Hello,

I am trying to setup a portal, which has requirement of forcing user to login first before visiting any page.
Guest user should not have access to any page.

Please suggest how to proceed.

I am following below approach, but no luck.
setup a site with only privates pages but its mandatory to have one public page.
so its not helping...

Any suggestion plz.

you can't create a site with only private page, There should be atleast 1 public page... your approach is correct,
By they way you must require one public page in order to login user without public page its not possible at all to login in portal .
you can assign login portlet on that default public page
