Can anyone tell me how do I assign custom site role to newly created users by default?

Hello Ravi,

In configuration part of control panel, go in "Portal Settings" -> "Users" and "Default User Associations" tab.

You can add, in Roles input, a role name which will be associated by default to new User.

That is assigning my custom site role as regular role in Liferay.

Your requirement is not much clear.. I believe suggestion mentioned by Sébastien Bihan will solve your issue

Below is my Requirement:

1) I have created a custom site role "Trustee"
2) Added that role to user default associations. So that when a new users creates account he is assigned that role
3) But that role should be a site role. When navigate to user and check user details he is assigned that role as a regular role not as a site role. I want to restrict that role to one particular site only.

Are you sure that your role is site role not regular role ??
