remove permissions to add documents for user

Hi, I have liferay 6.2 GA2

I want to restrict regular users of adding documents (in the documents and media portlet) I just want them to be able to see them...

i´ve removed every permission for documents for the user role, but the user can still add documents...

what am i missing??

I removed every role from the user... so the user only has the "User" role, the one liferay assigns by default to all users.. that is the role that I modified..

as for the permissions it has... i only removed every "documents and media" permission, everything else is as default

Is this user is site member? If so please check the permission for it. I was having the same scenario.

I checked the site member role, and it doesn't have any permissions (its empty)... any other role i should check?

Hello Juan

It seems you changed any permission or given to user.
Are you checking it in direct document media or in any folder, can you check folder lever permission also.

BTW with default you can check:
with user having power user and user role can not add file in guest or another sites (you you have document and media portlet on home or any site, they can't see add basic document)
If user having power user role they can access control panel and from there they can add basic documnet to their user site.
You can remove this from role "power user" > define permission > remove to add document.

Could you please navigate to Control Panel -->Roles-->User --> click on Actions(Define Permissions) & select Document and Media & can you share the permission settings for the same.

Click on Portlet configuration icon right top corner of the portlet, then need to change view permissions based on roles , there you can give folder or file level permission.

I sure can show the permissions of the user role, here they are:

User has no permissions in the portlet permissions, only site member, but only has view permissions

Its a new liferay installation, i did that because i thought maybe i broke something, so i installed a new liferay... i havent moved anything! (just removed everything from user role for documents and media)
