Jackrabbit 2.0

Hi guys,
there is any plan to use Jackrabbit 2.0 and JCR 2.0 (JSR 283)?

I need to use the version 2.0 in a portlet that I'm working on.
Do you think is possible to replace it?
Which components in the portal are using it?

You may need create a "JCR2Hook" to replace the old one.
