Liferay Migration from 6.2 GA2 CE to 6.2 GA4 CE Recommendation?

I'm trying to migrate Liferay from version 6.2 to version 6.2 GA2 GA4 ... Any suggestions to migrate the database? I found the liferay-portal-db-upgrade-6.2-ce-ga4.zip tool but do not understand how to configure it to migrate the database that is in postgreSQL. Could you please detail the steps ... You don't have to do anything yourself.

Take a backup of your DB and data directory.

Then point the GA4 instance at your existing DB and data directory and start it up.

Done.

Does this work if you have portlets installed? Do you have to copy those portlets from the GA2 installation directory? Or resinstall after startup?

You'll see less errors if you pre-deploy, but everything should work if you wait to do deploys until after the new instance has been started.

If you want to pre-deploy, leave the new instance pointing at HSQL and complete the deployments. After they're done, shut down the instance, point at the new database and data directory and then start the instance.
