iGoogle integration & OpenId via Blogger in a quest for SSO

Hello,

I would like to share portlets and use them in iGoogle portal.
Using Liferay 6.0.4, I can easily put the portlet in iGoogle, it works fine. But ...

I would like automatic sign-in into Liferay's portlet. Since I am already signed in iGoogle, Google is my OpenId provider (via Blogger) and I can sign in Liferay with OpenId, I expect not to have to sign-in twice. Some SSO should happen with OpenId.

But:
1/ there is a strange intermittent error: HTTP 414 "Request-URI Too Large. The requested URL /accounts/TokenAuth... is too large to process". It may be caused by Google, but I am not quite sure. It happens 90% of the time sadly, on my local installations and even on the Liferay.com site. (Never happened with other OpenId enabled site, like SourceForge for example).

2/ I have a user defined in the portal with an OpenId set to my OpenId provider (Blogger). Once I passed the HTTP 414 intermittent error, it logged me in, but proposed to create a new account instead of using the existing one. I ended up with 2 users having exactly the same OpenId.

3/ What should I do so the embedded portlet would sign-in using OpenId automatically ? I read old post about autoLogin ? Is it still necessary ?

Looking at the bug concerning Google integration, there are some problem, but some outdated, some not related.

Regards
Bruno

Hi Bruno

Just wondering if you found a solution to this?
I'm looking at similar requirements and it would be good to know if users with Google open IDs are likely to experience problems.
