Page Template | create generic template for users

Hi All ,
Is anyone familiar with Page template option in Liferay.
I have tried group Template option it doesn't suffice my purpose as it only provide one is to one mapping for template to page.ie one template adds one user page.

I need some way to define a template in Liferay that already has the default portlets and the layout. Then users can simply click create new page and they will get a page that looks like the template.
I have done this previously on other portals is there a way to achieve this in Liferay

Hi,

Are you using liferay 6 version?if yes then there is option called page template in this.

So once you create page template and when you create new page you need to select page templates that you want to use.

yes 5.2.2 does not provide OOB capability for page template
Do you have any pointers how it can be done by programing or using some other feature.

Hello,


I work with portal 6.0.
I have created some web content for guest (public website)
I create page template so we can use this when we create a new page.
I add some portlets (web content display, asset publisher)
For the web content display, I lost the configuration every time.
For asset publisher, no content for guest is enabled so i cannot do the configuration I want.

Is there someone that have more experience ? Is that a bug ?
