Image Gallery - Image edition

I'm wondering if would be useful some sort of basic image edition to the image gallery portlet.

Simple stuffs like crop, contrast, etc..

great idea and a useful feature ;). Automatic scaling (definable for each folder) of images during upload to the image gallery would be a nice addition.
