Will the Community Asset continue in Liferay?

A fellow developer has told me that communities will exist no longer in future versions of Liferay (there will only be organisations). He can't remember where he read this. Can anyone tell me:

a) Whether this is true and where I can read more about this and
b) where the Liferay website keeps it's road map for future releases

I read about it too, but it wasn't any kind of official statement. I was from one (or more) of the developers, but as long as there is no official statement about it I don't think you have to worry. Anyway, the essence was to extend organizations, so that they can do the same as communities, and that it would only work if there was some kind of automatic upgrade functionality.
